Junonia

“Junonia Rose”, the name the Romans gave to the Lotus flower in honor of the goddess Giunone, was a matrimonial symbol in their culture.

The Lotus is the flower of light; its petals close after dusk, only to reopen at dawn amongst the continuous antithesis between mud and water. Its origins spanning centuries, dating back to antiquity, traversing various cultures in constant evolution.

This mystical flower still invokes concepts of resiliency, perseverance, purity, growth, beauty, and strength, wherever it grows.

Like Giunone, the Lotus flower represents feminine strength, together with its graceful and delicate esthetic aspect to form a dynamic marriage between aberrant images. These petite and delicate gems commemorate the goddess of fertility, Giunone, and the capacity to convert life’s adversities into life’s marvels. The creations in this collection are designed to follow the inherent and spontaneous lines found in nature, such as the sweet lull of the Lotus floating incessantly on the speculum of water.

The petals and the leaves of the lotus are so velvety that dew drops collect on them at night. At dawn, those drops shine like pearls … In fact, they are much more beautiful, because they become enveloped in rainbows. The most wonderful thing is that, even if they are on the petals and leaves, it’s as if they are floating above them; just a breath of wind and they fall into the water, without a trace. In the East, the lotus flower has become a symbol, because the East claims that you must live in the world without ever having been touched by it.”
